Theoretical Reading III
Photography is the way of preserving a moment in time, you're capturing that single moment that will never happen again. I agree that when you take a photo of a painting, it might lose its meaning; especially if it's put into a context such as a magazine. It's interesting that art can have various meanings, but yet when it has a caption under it, the meaning is just the words written under it. Also, it's interesting to look at art as being some sort of battle (especially with photography) with all the copyright deals and all that, how do you know for sure that it's your work? Artwork in my opinion is not as respected, ownership-wise as it was back then.
