I do agree with the article when it says that every piece of art has an intention. It can be anything from just a simple portrait or an extravegant piece of work to amaze and dazzle the audience.
As a starting piece, I think just going out and photographing what you see, whatever you find beautiful is a great idea. You never know what you'll see and what you'll capture, which is how I made some of my best shots.
Even though a picture is in essense, capturing a single moment in time, its amazing how a perfect picture can come from an accident. To me, that's the beauty of photography; simply being able to capture something so beautiful by mistake.
